Respiratory Steam Inhalation

  • 5 Drops of Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil
  • 3 Drops of Orange essential oil
  • 3 Drops of Lemon essential oil
  • 3 Drops Tea Tree essential oil
  • 3 Drops of Thyme essential oil

There are many ways that you can benefit from the steamy essential oils in this recipe. They are meant to prevent and fight both bacterial and viral infections from taking hold in your lungs. I have added a few additional ways that this blend can be used aside from the steam inhalation.

Add drops to a pot of simmering water on the stove. You can stand over the pot and inhale.

You can put the mixture in a humidifier in your room while you sleep.

You can put a few drops in the palms of your hands while you are in a hot shower and inhale before letting it wash off. The steam from the shower helps cary the essential oils.

If you want to add these drops to a few tablespoons of carrier oil, such as olive oil or jojoba oil, it can be used as a chest rub. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to add extra carrier oil.

The unadulterated drops may be added to a handkerchief and inhaled, or put on your pillow while you sleep at night.
